Use Translate & Adapt, Shopify's own translation app, to prepare supported theme content on staging. Review the wording in the store's layout before release.
After your developer merges the theme changes, Stage & Translate adds the supported missing translations to the live theme. Existing live translations are kept. Code merging and translation transfer remain separate steps.
A new section should not mean a last-minute translation rush.
When new theme content reaches the live store before its translations, someone has to fill the gaps under pressure. Preparing the work on staging gives the team time to translate and review it first.

02
Prepare on staging

Where the app fits.
For stores that already review theme changes on staging, keep their translations in Shopify and want them ready alongside the code.
Do the code and translations go live at the same instant?
They are separate steps. A merge into the branch connected to your published theme changes the live code; the translation transfer follows. Agree the release timing and verify each language afterwards.
Does the app publish or merge the theme code?
Your development workflow handles the theme-code merge. Stage & Translate adds the supported missing translations to the live theme after that merge.
Does it overwrite translations already on the live theme?
Existing live translations are kept. You review which missing entries will receive the prepared translations before confirming.
Where do we write and review the translations?
Prepare the wording in Shopify Translate & Adapt and review it in the staging theme. Stage & Translate handles the supported transfer to live; it does not generate the wording.
How do I get access?
Tell me about your store, languages and release workflow. I review the theme pair and supported content with you, then confirm access, setup and any costs before you commit.
